Spring Appreciation Week
May 4 - 8th, 2026
Spring Teacher Appreciation Week is a special time for the Happy Valley PTA community to celebrate and thank our amazing teachers and staff. Throughout the week, we show our gratitude with small surprises, treats, and heartfelt messages to recognize all they do for our students every day. It’s a simple but meaningful way to remind them how much they are valued and appreciated!
Ongoing Activities
Staff Lounge Snack Cart
The PTA provides drinks and snacks for the monthly staff meeting with the leftovers going to a cart in the staff lounge for them to enjoy. Families may sign up for a single item or sign up to fill the entire cart!
Individually packaged items preferred. Item suggestions: Seltzer, soda, nuts, crackers, chips, bars, cookies, candy or dried fruit. Items can be dropped off in the main office. Please contact Ashley (ashleywhitmyer@gmail.com) with questions or if you need assistance getting items to the school.

Winter Appreciation
Winter Staff Appreciation is a cozy and meaningful way for the Happy Valley PTA to show gratitude during the busy holiday season. Through warm treats, small gifts, and thoughtful gestures, we take time to recognize the dedication and care our teachers and staff give all year long. It’s a chance to spread a little extra cheer and remind them how much they mean to our school community.
Pi(e) Day Celebrated on or near March 14 (3.14)
It has become a fun yearly tradition to treat our amazing staff to an assortment of pies in honor of Pi Day. Whether you love to bake from scratch or prefer to pick one up from your favorite store, we would be so grateful for your contribution. Please sign up using the link. Pies can be delivered to the main office before school. Thank you for helping us make this a sweet tradition.
Hillcrest Church Monthly Lunches
For several years, Happy Valley Elementary's Community Partner, Hillcrest Church, has generously provided a monthly lunch for our teachers and staff. From taco bars, to a sandwich spread, sloppy joes, to home-baked scones, the monthly event has become a beloved staff favorite. Thank you, Hillcrest Volunteers, for warming our hearts and stomachs!
