During the Summer
Summertime can mean going hungry for students who rely on school meals to get adequate nutrition. To help alleviate hunger during the summer months, Bellingham Schools offers a food program for children during summer. When that information becomes available, we try to post it here.
Summer food for students is a program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA.) This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
Bellingham Food Bank
In addition to summer food locations in our school cafeterias, if you live in Bellingham and need additional food support, the Bellingham Food Bank is here to help. Anyone living in Bellingham can visit the food bank. The main food bank, located at 1824 Ellis Street, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; there is no need to sign up in advance.
A drive-through program runs 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Ellis Street food bank. Register for the drive-through program at http:/:www.bellinghamfoodbank.org
If you have a question, have food to drop off, or want to make a donation to the food bank, please email info@bellinghamfoodbank.org.
