About this year's theme
Windows, Mirrors and Sliding Glass Doors
Books help students see themselves reflected, learn about lives beyond their own, and imagine new possibilities—right when curiosity, empathy, and connection matter most. Watch a video of the author of this concept, Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop.

At the May 2025 Washington State PTA Convention, Happy Valley PTA received a Bronze Level Diversity, Inclusion, & Outreach Award of Excellence for the Free Book Fair program! We are deeply grateful to the committee, donors, and sponsors who dedicated so much time and (heavy lifting) labor this year to make the Free Book Fair a remarkable success for ALL our students. A particularly heartfelt thank you to HV PTA Dad Gerry Santillan for being the event coordinator! Stay tuned for the return of the Award Winning Free Book Fair next school year!
