Dear Happy Valley Parents,
The HV PTA is conducting a year-end survey to collect your input on what you value most! Your feedback is important as we plan and budget for the 2019-20 school year. Please provide your response by this Friday, April 26th: https://forms.gle/UmMTXWa4jRhP5ymw9
We are also Seeking Nominations For Next Year’s PTA Board. Available roles include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Outreach/Fundraising Coordinator, and Volunteer Coordinator. The PTA is integral in the coordination and/or funding of the following programs:
Common Threads Garden Program
After-School Enrichment Classes
Mt. Baker Theater Field Trips
Salmon Enhancement Program Support
Support for WA State Reading Corps
Musical (every other year)
School Directory & Yearbook
Teacher & Staff Appreciation
Salish Sea Experience
Happy Valley Outreach
After School Enrichment
5th Grade Track Shirts & End-of-Year Event
Without parental support, many of these programs will disappear or be drastically pared down.
As a fellow parent, I can relate to how busy life can be! That said, the PTA is a great “excuse” to meet people, work alongside friends, and/or leverage your skills for the betterment of our school. Please note that we have a PTA Meeting on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:15pm to elect new leaders, approve the new budget and set the course for next year. All are welcome at this meeting.
